Medal of Valor & Medal of Merit Presentation Ceremony at the Washington State Capitol, March 18, 2025. The Medal of Valor was presented to members of the Department of Ecology – Alex Hernandez, Dave Thompson, Jon Tollstrup, & Lisa Stingley. The Medal of Merit was awarded posthumously to Jimi Hendrix. Remarks were made by Governor Bob Ferguson, Secretary of State Steve Hobbs, Department of Ecology Director Casey Sixkiller, and 37th Legislative District Representative Sharon Tomiko Santos.
